RENAMING AND REBRANDING A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
Brief
Mission West Community Development Partners – formerly Lake County Community Development Corporation – celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2020. To better reflect their community, region and services, they decided to rename and rebrand their organization, design a new website to reflect those changes, and develop a strategic communications plan to reach the rural & tribal community they serve.
Deliverables
Mission West is a non-profit organization with 4 distinct pillars of service, Business Development, Community Development, Cooperative Development and Food & Agriculture Development, each with their own unique requirements. Over the course of 2020, we worked closely with the Mission West staff to discover their needs and redesigned their website, print material, branding, and worked with local graphic designer Ricci Gertz to develop a new logo. We partnered with film director David W. King to produce 8 videos showcasing the work and capabilities of Mission West. Our video productions with David King received a Bronze Award in Excellence in Economic Development from the International Economic Development Council.
Results
In January of 2021, we launched the Mission West name change, rebrand and website simultaneously with a thorough communications plan including email marketing campaigns, Facebook advertising and local news outlets.
